John is as A-player as it gets. Where 99% of people will just do the task they were asked to do, John goes above and beyond and always delivers more than requested.
Five habits that show up in every project above.
Nothing ships with known errors. Once it is solid and live, I refine it against how customers actually behave, not against a version of perfect we imagined in staging.
Heatmaps, scroll maps and the analytics that already exist come before opinions, mine included. When the numbers are thin I say so, and I A/B test before I commit a storefront to a change.
If a task happens twice, it becomes a module, an internal app or a scheduled job. Nobody on my team should spend a Tuesday doing something a script does better.
Every market I have launched into wanted something different from the last one. A market you have not lived in will not explain itself through analytics, so I research it properly and talk to the people who actually shop there.
Most of the job is choosing: which platform, which agency, which feature waits a quarter. I would rather kill an idea in a meeting than after a developer has spent a month on it, and I explain why in plain language so the team can push back.
TestDome, all gold. click any stamp to verify.
Plugins I felt like building. VST3 and AU, Mac and Windows, written in JUCE.
Reverb on an 8-line feedback delay network. The UI is a watercolour of España Boulevard that rains, then floods, as the mix comes up. Knobs in Tagalog: Baha, Ulan, Lawak, Estero, Labo, Kalsada, Alon, Trapik, Putik.
BigBMuff style fuzz into an SVT style bass preamp with presence control and a switchable cab sim, filter model or IR. One pedal, the whole bass rig.

pre-production meeting
